Life Links 5/1/13

CNN covers Live Actions InHuman videos.  More are on their way.  Working in the abortion industry is likely quite stressful at this point in time.
"There definitely are more videos coming out," Live Action Founder and President Lila Rose told CNN. "There's likely going to be another one coming out this week. And then more in coming weeks. So, you know, we're again focused on reaching as many people possible with ... kind of the expose of what's happening on a daily basis in the [late-term] abortion industry."

........

Also, CNN repeatedly attempted to contact senior staff at the Dr. Emily Woman's Health Center in New York. During initial calls, a representative said Director Marjana Banzil was unavailable until Wednesday. During subsequent attempts to reach senior staff, representatives grew agitated and, in one instance, screamed, "No comment!" before hanging up.

Ireland's government has submitted draft legislative language to change the country's abortion law.  At least one prolife group is opposed to the legislation.
Under the draft legislation, when the threat is not from suicide, two doctors must jointly certify that there is a "real and substantial risk" of the loss of the pregnant woman's life, and that they believe abortion is the only way to avert that risk.

One of the doctors must be an obstetrician or gynecologist, and at least one of the two should consult with the woman's own doctor where possible.

When the risk to the pregnant woman's life is from suicide, the assessment must be made by an obstetrician or gynecologist, along with two psychiatrists.

Denise Burke in the Washington Times on Gosnell and the abortion industry.
Sadly, Big Abortion continues to equate women's health and safety with mere access to abortion. Access to sanitary and appropriately regulated and inspected abortion facilities is simply not part of their political and self-interested calculus.

The "right" to abortion, as defined by the U.S. Supreme Court, does not give rise to a corollary "right" for abortion providers like Kermit Gosnell to turn profits or to practice without meaningful oversight and regulation. Quite simply, Big Abortion does not — contrary to its apparent beliefs — have a constitutional right to maim and kill women in unlicensed, substandard and dangerous clinics.
